Paid Roles
----------
To deliver this work there are four different paid positions for two types of roles: coordinators and interviewers and a number of volunteer positions (in exchange for no organisation fee).  All work will be overseen and signed off by !FairSay (who will in turn consult with sponsors where relevant).

1. Participant Pack Coordinator and eCampaigning Booklet Editor
---------------------------------------------------------------
Role: Ensure a quality participant pack is produced

Note: this role involves work before, during and after ECF08

Participant Pack coordination involves:

#. Identify content
#. Collect/produce content
#. Quality check content (and edit / return for editing if necessary)
#. Coordinate with Oxfam GB for participant booklet and pack design 
#. Coordinate with Oxfam GB for participant booklet and pack printing

eCampaigning Booklet Editing involves:

#. Quality check articles (and edit / return for editing if necessary)
#. Coordinate with Oxfam GB booklet design 
#. Coordinate with Oxfam GB booklet printing
#. Coordinate with Oxfam GB booklet distribution

Effort: 2 days for participant pack and 1 day for e-campaigning booklet editing


2. Interview and eCampaigning Article Collection

Role: to coordinatre the interviews and pull together a booklet of e-campaigning articles 

Note: this role involves work before, during and after ECF08

Coordinating Interviews involves:

#. Identify topics
#. Identify interviewees
#. Assign interviews to interviewees
#. Collect completed interviews
#. Quality check interviews (and edit / return for editing if necessary)
#. Provide final digital copies to FairSay


Before ECF:

- Identifying key / frequent issues/questions from various sources (e.g. practitoners, progressive exchange)
- Identify people willing to be interviewed on those topics
- Assign video interviews to interviewees

At ECF: 

- Ensure interviews happen
- Monitor the 'eCampaigning Exchange' board (post-its of questions and suggestions) and identify any suitable for other interviews (and thus identify interviewee, assign interviewer and ensure it happens)
- Arrange for each speaker and presentation to be recorded (prioritise if all can't be covered)


Coordinating the eCampaigning Booklet article collection involves:

#. Identify topics
#. Identify people
#. Collect articles

Effort: 2 days (1d for interview coordination and 1d for booklet coordination)


3. Video Interviewers (3 roles)

These roles involve interviewing the assigned people on specific topics before, during (in most cases) or after the eCampaigning Forum and recording 2 speakers during the event.

It involves:

#. Agreeing interviewees and topics with coordinator
#. Agreeing what speakers they are to cover
#. Familiarising oneself with the topic and preparing key questions
#. Arranging for an interview with the interviewee
#. Ensuring all recording equipment is working and you know how to use it and get the best quality results
#. Editing the interview video to get it to a presentable state and providing a transcript
#. Providing it to the coordinator for inclusion in the DVD and online

Photos should be taken of the person being interviewed fur use with the transcript and audio-track of the interview.

Effort: 1.5 days each interviewer for conducting interview (1 days) and editing it to publishable quality (0.5 days)



4. Production Coordinator (design, print, DVD pressing and assembly)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Role: ensuring all printed and digital materials are on budget and on time.

Note: this role involves work before, during and after ECF08

All the content being produced is being designed, printed and distributed by Oxfam GB. Since Marcus is in the Oxfam GB offfices where production will occur, he is well placed to **coordinate the Oxfam GB elements of the production (design, printing, distribution) of:**

#. The Participant Pack
#. The eCampaigning Booklet
#. The DVD design, content 'credits' screen and creation of the master copy. This involces:
   
   #. Identifing content
   #. Collecting content
   #. Quality checking content (and edit / return for editing if necessary)
   #. Coordinating with Oxfam GB for DVD content and disk design 
   #. Arranging for DVD production and for Oxfam GB to pay for it. 
   #. Coordinating with Oxfam GB booklet distribution

This will involve:

#. Communicating with Oxfam GB creative services to schedule in the design work and communicate deadlines me and others creating the content
#. Communicating with Oxfam GB print services to schedule in printing and communicate deadlines with me and others creating the content
#. Getting estimates from creative services, print services and a DVD copier for the work required and of posting the materials after the event to participants and if the total amount comes in at over £3,000 (the budget for this) then we need to find a way to get it under £3,000
#. Identifying any constraints from the print services as that the creative design services needs to account for
#. Distributing draft designs (to Duane and other stakeholders), collecting feedback and following this through until the designs are finalised
#. Getting the final designs to print services (and the DVD master to an external DVD producer)
#. Getting delivery of printed materials / copied !DVDs and distributing it:

   #. The event pack needs to be printed and distributed at the ECF08 event
   #. The eCampaigning booklet and DVD will be printed and posted after ECF08 

Others will be collecting, producing and editing the content, so this role is about collecting the final versions of that content by the deadlines required by designers / printers and ensuring it is completed by the deadline (and calling in Duane's help when things risk going off track)
